Newington College is K-12 day and boarding school for boys. As a school of the Uniting Church in Australia, founded as a school of the Methodist Church, Newington has always been open to boys of all faiths and denominations.

Information about enrolment procedures may be found under Admissions.

A boy is admitted to Newington College on the understanding that his parents or guardians are sympathetic to the aims and policies of the College and will do whatever they can to ensure that he conforms with such regulations as the College deems necessary.

Complaints & Grievances

Staff at Newington College regard complaints as serious, will treat each matter confidentially and impartially and will seek to resolve the grievance in a timely manner. Depending on the circumstances, complaints should be directed to a boy's class teacher, housemaster or tutor, or the staff member in charge of the activity or program. Refer to the Contacts page. More serious matters should be directed to the Head of School.

A process for resolving grievances is published in the Staff Manual. This includes:

Ensuring the complaint is addressed to the appropriate person, and checking that this has happened.
Listening carefully to the complaint and seeking agreement as to the nature of the problem.
Investigating the problem.
Implementing a response.
Documenting the process and monitoring outcomes.

Your privacy is important to us. Newington College respects the right to privacy and abides by the National Privacy Principles laid down by the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000.
