Chapel Services

The designated Chapel Services for 2008 are:

  • Johnstone - Wednesday 23 July, 6pm
  • Kelynack - Sunday 17 August, 10am (followed by Morning tea)
  • Valedictory Chapel & Luncheon - Friday 26 September, 12.00pm
    (followed by Luncheon in Centenary Hall)
  • Year 7 - Sunday 9 November, 11am (followed by picnic lunch)

Chapel Offerings

This year's Chapel Offerings will be sent through Uniting Church Overseas Aid to Tupou College in Tonga. Newington College was part of the formation of Tupou College and we hope to develop this link through developing our Service Learning Program to enable our boys to engage with and support our Pacific Neighbours.

Newington Choir

The Newington Choir of some 40 voices is accompanied on the pipe organ designed and built by Knud Smenge, incorporating many of the traditional characteristics of Danish organ building. The Choir, instrumental groups, visiting organists and organ scholars give regular recitals in the Chapel.


 

HSC Mass at St Brendan's Annandale

You are invited to a special HSC Mass at St Brendan's, Johnston St Annandale at 5.30pm Saturday 11 October 2008

Everyone is welcome (you dont have to be a catholic)
Come along with friends or come alone
Ask God's blessing on all the hard work you have done and for success in your exams
A quiet moment of reflection and meditation is good preparation.

A special blessing will be offered for all HSC candidates
