Cost of Weddings

There are several options available for couples who wish to be married at Newington College. Wedding costs range from about $1200 to over $2000 depending on the options chosen and the facilities that couple require. The current costs are set out in the Wedding Fees Document.

Setting the Date

We require a couple to attend a Wedding Information Seminar at least 3 Months before the proposed wedding date.

To avoid disappointment, we suggest that couples find two or three possible dates for their wedding.

Please note that 'at home' sports days, College functions, the religious season, school holidays and the availability of the Chaplains, determine if a particular day and time is available for a wedding.

The School Timetable for the following year is not finalised until about December each year. It is not possible to determine the 'at home' games until the GPS set them.

Many couples also find that the reception centres are booked up to a year or more in advance. While we endeavour to meet each couple’s needs, we cannot guarantee that a particular date or request can be met.

Wedding Preparation

Newington College requires that couples attend appropriate Marriage Preparation courses. Appropriate preparation is available through the Chaplains at Newington College and through several community organisations. Details will be provided on request, but will be provided during the Wedding Information Seminars.
