Taking place after the final exams each year, the Newington Second Hand Book Exchange is a voluntary service administered by the Newington Women's Group. It provides invaluable support to students and their families by enabling students to recycle their compulsory textbooks. Following the completion of the HSC, Year 12 are encouraged to bundle up their books and study guides with their name, address and contact phone number and deposit them in the special box in the Library or deliver them to the Clothing Pool on the first or third Wednesdays of the month. ALL STUDENTSYou will also have the opportunity to recycle your books too. Start cleaning up your textbooks and study guides for sale now. The Book Exchange this year will be held immediately following the End-of-Year Exams. More details next term. Payment by Cash, Cheque or Credit Card accepted. A small profit is also made from the buying and selling of these books. In previous years this has helped provide funds for the highly successful Literature Festival, contributed toward the English Department's innovative Wide Reading Program and funded the annual English Incentive Awards to the most improved student in each Year 10 English class.
