NEXT GENERAL MEETING

Wednesday 28 May 7.30pm Function Room

Welcome to Newington!

The Newington P&F Association provides a forum for parent discussion of school issues and acts as a distribution point for information on school matters as they impact on families.

The Association membership (and on occasions the executive committee) represents these views to the management of the school at regular general meetings.
The Head of Stanmore and the Headmaster attend meetings and are able to give direct advice to parents on the progress of current matters, and also discuss upcoming plans and strategies.

The Newington P&F provides a framework for parents to interact with other members of the Newington community and to participate in activities related to the broader life of the school. The association provides the opportunity for co-operation and fellowship among parents and friends of the College.

The association endeavours to unite special interest groups and coordinate the crossover of those activities recognising always the motivations of these individual groups.

How does the P&F achieve this?

• Through regular meetings and participation in focus groups and discussions organised and chaired by the school specialist staff.

• Through liaison with the Head of Stanmore and Headmaster.

• Through publications such as Black & White and information distributed via the email class lists.

The P&F has an extensive network of volunteers across all year groups but needs your help to assure the on going health and relevance of the organisation.

You can join by attending the next scheduled meeting, by participating in the work of any of the support groups, or by simply approaching any member of the Association, introducing yourself.

The Newington P&F Association welcomes all members of the school community and I personally look forward to welcoming you to our next meeting or function.
