Logging in to the College Portal

To access the Newington Portal, click on the URL: portal.newingtoncollege.nsw.edu.au

The Newington College Portal is created specifically for staff, students and members of the Newington community. This section of the school web site contains a number of useful resources:

• Curriculum study resources, virtual classrooms
• Senior Library web site and online catalogue, Turnitin plagiarism system
• An online version of New Daily, the school's internal notice-sheet, Black&White, PrepTalk and The Wyvern
• Remote access to email and file storage
• College announcements

LOG-IN

You will need your Student Computer No. (#####) and your password (••••••••).
NB: Password may be case-sensitive.

After 3 failed attempts, the system will lock the account.
Passwords can only be changed from within the School network.

TROUBLESHOOTING

It is the responsibility of each student to know his Computer No. and password. If a boy intends to use the Intranet from home he should first check his password at school. For security reasons, passwords are periodically re-set, so it is important for students to bear this in mind.

If a student cannot log in from within the school network he should report to the Tech Support staff in Room N2 as soon as possible.

NB: Password issues will not be resolved over email. Parents should phone Reception on 9568 9333 if they experience any problems with logging in.
