BEQUESTS AND PLANNING GIVING

Bequests

Bequests to Newington help solidify the College’s financial underpinnings just as firmly as the sandstone foundations underpin the firm footings of the Founders Building

Bequests

A vital component to the success of the Foundation’s activities is the promotion of Bequests.

In May 2010 the Foundation will launch the Founders Society. The purpose of the Society is to recognise, honour and thank those who have determined to reach beyond their own lives and in doing so, enhance opportunities for future generations of Newington boys by thoughtfully including the College in their Will. Everyone who makes a Bequest to the College and accordingly notifies the College of their intent will automatically be invited to become a member of the Founders Society.

Membership is accorded to anyone who chooses to remember Newington and invest in its mission through the Bequest program. Members of the Founders Society receive a handsome pin, a listing of their name in the College’s Annual Report and the Newington Wyvern (unless anonymity is requested).  Members of the Society will be invited to attend an Annual Event to recognise their support, and most assuredly, Newington’s abiding gratitude. The Founders Society honours and seeks to perpetuate this distinguished tradition of giving at Newington.

The benefits of a Bequest to
Newington College:

  • Your assets remain in your control during your lifetime.
  • You can modify your Bequest if your circumstances change.
  • You can direct your Bequest to a particular purpose (please consult with the College to make sure your gift can be used as intended).
  • You know that your gift will benefit Newington tomorrow just as you intend it to today.

Bequests to Newington help solidify the College’s financial underpinnings just as firmly as the sandstone foundations underpin the firm footings of the Founders Building.
