It is forecast that hot to extreme
temperatures are likely in the next few days. Sport will not be
cancelled due to the heat. However, boys are expected to hydrate on regular
occasions and MUST wear a hat/sunscreen if outside. Please continue to
communicate with your coach regarding the heat.
Due to the
current high temps forecast for today, boys are permitted to remove ties and
place them in their bags from recess today. Boys will NOT be required to
wear their ties home today.
This Friday’s rehearsal will be for The Whos to finish ‘Here on Who’ with Mr
Edmunds in the Drama Demountable. Horton and Jojo
will have a rehearsal in the OC with Ms Smith. Wickershams
may have a rehearsal with Mr Scott but this will be
confirmed in the New Daily on Friday. Everybody else (Jungle Creatures) will
have the afternoon off. Please look over music for next week. See you at
rehearsal!
A reminder that if you are late for
school you must
report to Mrs Thomas. This includes arriving between
periods or at recess. It is also important to report if you have finished a
music lesson or have been to the clinic. Thank you to the vast majority of boys
who already follow these procedures.
There are
a number of boys with outstanding detentions. Please ensure that they are
completed by next Thursday or you will be coming in during the holidays to
complete them then
A camera
case was handed in to Mr Snare yesterday. See him to
claim.
If you are the eldest son in your family
attending Newington College, and your family has ordered a photo, you need to
collect your photo before 27 November 2009 (last day of term).
