YEARS 7–10 WIDE READING PROGRAM
Through the Wide Reading Program, Newington boys are encouraged to read selected texts entirely for their own enjoyment. The books are listed according to their suitability for each reading level and have each been purchased in abundant quantities so that the Library won't run out.
In choosing the books we don't worry about whether the books were 'good for you' or indeed whether the boys would learn anything from them. The only criteria is whether they will enjoy reading them.
