YEAR 7 CAMP

TUESDAY 27 – THURSDAY 29 JANUARY 2009

All boys begin Year 7 with a three-day camp. In 2009 this will be held at the Narrabeen Sport and Recreation Centre.

The aim here is to provide a buffer to the beginning of the formal education process and to give boys the chance to find their feet socially and encounter some of the concepts involved in attending their new school.

Activities are organised and supervised by the staff at the Centre, which gives the Newington teachers the opportunity to mix with and get to know the boys in a relaxed atmosphere. These teachers are the tutors who will work directly with the boys during their time in Year 7. They are assisted at the camp by Year 11 boys.
