Travel Passes

The NSW Government provides subsidised travel to and from school through the School Student Transport Scheme. Managed by Transport NSW, the Scheme covers travel for eligible students on government rail, government and private bus and ferry services and long distance coaches.

Travel Passes are available through the school. To obtain the form you require, please download and complete this slip and return to the school (please do not fax). The relevant application form/s and cards will then be posted to you for completion.

Hunters Hill Bus

The Hunters Hill Bus is route number 560 and is scheduled by Ryde Bus Depot (telephone 9941 6850). It is a government bus which is a ‘Newington students only’ bus. Students can apply for a ‘student free travel’ pass for this bus (apply for application form at School Reception) and pay the fare until the pass is issued.

Cronulla Bus

In conjunction with Telfords Buses, Newington has a regular bus service between the Stanmore campuses and the southern suburbs – Cronulla, Caringbah, Miranda, Blakehurst and Hurstville. Details of the service, including timetables, are available on the application form:
