Camouflage uniform is to worn to all training parades

Equipment & Uniform

Camouflage uniform is to be worn to all training parades, however there are some slight differences for home training and field work.

Friday Week A Parades – the camouflage uniform is to be worn with the beret, Newington badges and boots. The sleeves are normally worn rolled down. The beret is to be worn at all times or at least kept in a pocket.

Annual Camp and Field Days – the camouflage uniform is to be worn only with the camouflage bush hat and polished boots.

Care of the uniforms is a simple cold or warm wash and hung to dry. This should see no ironing required if they are stored hung.

Equipment – Boys are also issued with a pack, a shelter (hutchie), a kit bag, and other bits and pieces such as metal dixies. These are also used at Camps and Field Days. When they obtain this kit at the Q-Store they sign a card as proof of receipt. On leaving Cadets all of these items are to be returned. We understand that the kit will suffer normal wear and tear, but boys are expected you to take care of their kits and to pay for any replacement. If in the normal course of use an article wears out, or the student outgrows an article of clothing, he should take it to the Q-Store for a replacement.
