The School Sergeant, Mr Greg Christian, is responsible for assisting the Headmaster and the Head of Secondary with discipline within the School, particularly in relation to the boys' general behaviour and appearance.

He assists the Heads of Senior School and Middle School with their pastoral tasks and investigates incidents across the school.

He consults on relevant Secondary campus committees that refer to behavioural management.

He is also charged with maintaining good order through the supervision of playgrounds, Stanmore railway station during travel times and events such as the GPS Regatta, Athletics Championships and Back to Newington day.

He coordinates the setting up of the Hall for assemblies and exams, and controls school bells and lockers.

He also teaches Business Services (VET) as well as being a mentor for boys in the Senior school. He is involved in coaching senior rowing crews within the school's rowing program.
