Welcome Back!

The Development Office at Newington provides comprehensive support for Old Boys, former parents, benefactors and friends of Newington to retain their links with the College, their school peers and, where possible, to participate in College activities and events.

Old Boys' Activities

Old Boys' reunions are held on the five-year and decade anniversaries of boys’ final year of school attendance. Country, interstate and international reunions as well as network and business gatherings are also conducted.

Old Boys can attend the special 'Back to Newington' Old Boys' days or participate in College events such as the Literature Festival and Careers Expo.

Old Boys are encouraged to utilise the Newington Online Alumni Directory (NOAD) to change personal contact details or exchange news of mutual interest among school friends. News items are regularly posted on the Bulletin Board for the interest of Old Boys and the wider College community.

As well as these, there are a number of events on thethat may be of interest to Old Boys.

A calendar of events is mailed with the Newington Wyvern, available from the Alumni Office.

Newington’s support for alumni relations includes active assistance to the Old Newingtonians' Union and other affiliated groups such as The 70 Club and the Centennial Trust.

From time to time Old Boys are encouraged to donate money to College capital appeals or the annual appeal. These appeals raise money to improve Newington’s educational development through tax deductible donations to building or library funds. Old Boys regularly make generous bequests to Newington for educational purposes or to sustain endowment for scholarships and bursaries. Confidential information can be discussed with the Fundraising and Development Manager.

Old Boys are encouraged to give memorabilia (photos, reports, certificates, books, etc) from their school days to the archives or give items (blazer, boater, badges, etc) to enlarge the College’s collection.
